Grupo Gale
Grupo Gale is a
self-described "Columbian Orchestra," directed by Diego Gale, and
spotlights a total of three lead singers. Their music features a strong
emphasis on up-tempo, danceable, salsa rhythms. Hugely successful in
Latin America and have played to enthusiastic audiences the world over
-- especially in Europe. Prior to leading Grupo Gale, Diego was a
percussionist with Grupo Niche, la Sonora Dinamita, la Inmensidad, the
late Frankie Ruiz, El Cantante de los Cantantes, Hector Lavoe, Alex
Leon, Marvin Santiago, and Luis Enrique. The group has issued several
albums inc. 1995's Afirmando, 1996's Dominando la Salsa & in 2001 Con el
Mismo Swing. |
Machel Montano
Machel Montano from Port
of Spain, Trinidad is without any doubt the most popular soca artist of
the moment. The now 33 years old Machel already became famous as a child
with his song “Too young to soca” and since that time he has never been
out of the picture. His shows with his band Xtatik are unpredictable and
full of energy. |

CARIBEÑA are a fantastic salsa group - full of energy and beautiful
orchestration. As well as a top band in their own right, they have
accompanied international salsa artists such as: Eddie Santiago,
Adalberto Santiago, Lalo Rodríguez, Kim de los Santos, Viti Ruíz, Raulín
Rosendo, Gústavo Rodríguez (Colombia), Alex D' Castro, Pedro Arroyo,

bachata from Santiago, Dominican Republic. Confesiones from 2003 is the best selling of their CD's.
The follow up to Confesiones is Hasta El Fin. The first single
Perdidos has been an international hit topping the Billboard magazine
Tropical Chart. This new production has maintained the feeling of
Bachata romantic with some influences of other rhythms such as Antillean
music, Rock, elements of Arabian as well as authentic Folkloric rhythms
of their homeland the Dominican Republic. |
